Dramatherapy Services
Dramatherapy Services
I offer confidential therapy sessions, currently online or in-person, in either English or Greek.
I usually offer an initial consultation session so that we can meet and collaboratively decide if and how we can work together.
To book an initial consultation, or for more information, please get in touch.
Individual Sessions
I offer one-to-one sessions, where I meet the individual for 50-60 minutes – either for a pre-agreed number of sessions, or on an open-end basis.
Some people feel that a one-to-one intervention is more appropriate in order for them to grow. The confidentiality, sense of trust, and opportunity for individualised interventions has helped many of my clients, whether adults, adolescents or children.
Group Sessions
An alternative to individual sessions is for a small group of people (approximately 2-7 participants) to have sessions together. My experience has shown that some people thrive in group settings. Interactions with other individuals and collective therapeutic explorations can increase the potential of the therapeutic process. Groups can be arranged based on participants’ shared issues, or can work for exploring a wider range of themes.
If you are interested in group sessions, please get in touch for more information and to find out when a new group will commence.
Sessions for children / adolescents
Children and adolescents can benefit from either one-to-one or group sessions.
I have considerable experience in working with children and adolescents, and I have had the privilege of witnessing many young people’s growth, change and transformation. My main focus is to work together with the young person, often in collaboration with their family, in removing any possible blockages to development, and allow the processes of growth to take place.
Dramatherapy has allowed many young people that I have worked with to explore challenging issues in indirect, safe and playful ways. This process offers opportunities for valuable expression and management of emotions.
For younger children, a parent/carer’s participation in the sessions is possible.
Family sessions
In these sessions, family members attend together – for example, parent-and-child sessions. Participants’ emotions, relationships, interactions and family dynamics can be explored with this type of intervention, responding to issues such as intergenerational trauma, attachment difficulties, anxiety, and many more.
My background in systemic/family therapy, combined with my experience in facilitating groups, allows me to support family members in finding shared aims and a developmentally appropriate sense of autonomy, as well as using mental and emotional resources to maintain a supporting and understanding family environment.
Couple’s sessions
Sometimes people choose to attend therapy sessions with their life partners. This can be as a response to their mutual agreement to explore possible challenges in their relationship; to decide their future together; to expand their understanding of each other’s needs; and/or to explore ways of managing interactions. My background in systemic therapy has proven very helpful in work with couples.
Online sessions
I also offer sessions remotely, using Zoom or other video call technology. The only thing you need to have is a device (smartphone, tablet, laptop or PC), an internet connection, and the ability to download the relevant software on to your device.
Since March 2020, I have been offering therapy sessions to adults and adolescents by phone and online. As a result, I have a diverse experience of facilitating one-to-one and group sessions online. These are always tailored to meet each individual’s/group’s needs, and each particular setup is agreed beforehand.
